Doogy Rev

By | June 19, 2017

This actually passed me by, but you may be interested to note a 6-DVD box set of The Adventure Game came out last Monday, featuring almost all episodes of the show, currently priced £21.99 at Amazon. It features 20 of the 22 broadcast episodes across the four series – one episode from series one and two is missing believed lost.

That should go some way to making up losing them from the BBC Store.

With The Crystal Maze and Fort Boyard starting this weekend, June 2017 will forever be known as The Month Of Very Much The Sort Of Thing We Like.

Currently watching this – remember series 3 and 4, but never saw the first two

The best one in series one is the last one, Team Paul Darrow I reckon, a nice twist on the Drogna board and good use of extra room. Special mention for the James Burke episode with the boat and planks, although the computer adventure segment was a bit dull.

It felt a bit like it got increasingly ambitious as the series progressed, although the first episode feels pretty tight – presimably everyone did the adventure then they just cut it out if they had to run for 30 instead of 45 minutes.

Incidentally, not labelling the disc numbers on each disc is spectacularly stupid, the large drogna on each disc is of no help, they are not in any specific order. You’d at least think their values would be 1-6.

There ARE disc numbers written in tiny print around the edge of each disc, Brig. you may have to squint but they are there!

Finished series two. Disappointed it was roughly the same every week until the final one where they change it up a bit and put a bit of story in.
