Great stuff, I think most things were in about the right place, Blockbusters about 50 places too high but still. Thanks for all your effort organizing this, Ben.

The joys of these kind of polls, balancing experts, fans and viewing figures. After the show I looked back at the polls of the years for the 2010s which provoked a lot of “whatever happened to that show?”

    1) Thanks very much, Ben and crew, for putting so much effort in over the whole series. Loads of fun!

    2) The “taking a mile upon being given an inch” department really liked the question you asked in the survey asking people to identify as quiz fans or game show fans. How did the two proportions split? More to the point, if you only took the votes of people who ticked each one, how different did the charts look? (Also, any chance of seeing the results of the semis and qualifiers?)

2b) If you can’t face the extra admin, I’d volunteer to (re)count them, presumably with the e-mail addresses from the votes from the final removed.

    3) I get the feeling that Pointless and The Chase will stick around as long as the hosts want to do them; with them, BBC and ITV have “their Countdown“, a bedrock in the schedules even if the ratings dip by, say, 60% from their current figures. My gut feeling is that Pointless has another ten years to run, and I’m not a fan of it. Perhaps the biggest question is whether the hosts will stick with the formats, but Countdown and even the Antless Takeaway and I’m a Celeb show that even very popular hosts can be replaced. So would Xander, Richard or Bradley leave first? All three have plenty of irons in the fire. My gut feel would place Bradley as the favourite of the three.

    4) Even noting how well UK The Mole has done in previous Bar all-time polls without this factor to back it up at the time, I think it would have been at least two or three places lower without the amazing recent Flemish version to bring it to the forefront of people’s minds. (I voted it highly myself… and I think you could reasonably claim Gladiators as a counterexample here to some extent.)

    5) I wonder what the demographics are of the Taskmaster audience? The Hometasking videos skewed younger than I would expect.
