New Old Content

By | April 9, 2011

Well I was convinced I had an episode of Slam to do a feature on (although not that there’s much point seeing as you can work everything out from that Ray Cokes pilot film anyway) but I can’t for the life of me find it so I’ve gone through the Bother’s Bar v2.0 archives and touched up some old features I hadn’t yet put up on the Specials Board, so here they are:

Not much on tonight, although there’s a Total Wipeout Celeb Special, So You Think You Can Dance?Β and Secret Fortune if you’re those ways inclined.

Off-topic, but what are the opinions on this year’s Grand National?

I thought it was rather disappointing TBH – quite a bit of the fun of the occasion gets taken out when one or more fences have to be bypassed the second time around due to very nasty falls.

More so when one of the fences in question is Becher’s Brook… πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™

Anyway, it seems that The Load Of Bollocks That Is Live Millionaire actually had nothing to do with the time at which BBC1 decided to show Secret Fortune last week, as it’s at 7:30 again this week… πŸ˜•

However, viewing figures ought to go up, as the monkeys have decided to show the big-screen adaptation of Mamma Mia!

I expect, though, that if they don’t, then Joe will once again be absolutely ecstatic… πŸ˜•

I predict all the shows will be lower than average once again but this time due to the good weather. In other words, decent audience shares but low numbers watching.

Why, exactly, was Live Millionaire a load of bollocks? I thought that it (particularly that gorgeous new set) was pretty entertaining.

Because they never learned to what they did at Christmas with the mad rush at the end. Also many on DS criticised the time wasted on reading emails and surprising mums in the audience.

Was this because of the two bypassed fences, perchance? πŸ˜‰

Well, Mamma Mia got 6m according to DS so I won’t be surprised if Secret Fortune dips again, along with Not-so-nasty Nigel.

It does confirm my theory with it being decent shares but low numbers watching.

So You Think You Can Dance?: 3.43m (20.1%)
        Secret Fortune: 4.28m (21.5%)
        Mamma Mia!: 5.66m (27.8%) , +1: 350k

I don’t think the problem is Secret Fortune but SYTYCD? as three weeks in, they’re literally in the shit. Secret Fortune had 4.2 million last week, SYTYCD? had 3.7 million. I think Ratings Bear is already chasing down Cat Deeley and Nigel Lythgoe as we speak.

Secret Fortune will dip below 4 million next Saturday because of Britian’s Got Talent.

SF’s viewing figures hardly went up from last week – plus Mamma Mia! attracted no less than 1.38m more viewers, AND its share was no less than 6.3% greater?!?!?

          NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! πŸ‘Ώ πŸ‘Ώ πŸ‘Ώ

Ratings Bear may as well chase down Kernick and his envelopes as well, then… πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ˜₯

It doesn’t help, though, that from the numerous tweets during last night’s episode, some people STILL don’t understand the rules – though one can’t help but wonder if they’re actually bothered to do so… πŸ˜•

Plus, of course, the jackpot was won two weeks ago. πŸ˜•

Poor rating for Secret Fortune, down from last week’s 4.37m.

Joe! Not like you to be this quiet about Secret Fortune… πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

I will admit I didn’t particularly enjoy this week’s episode – but that was because of the contestants.

The DS moaners were right to call Graeme a prat and a know-it-all – but Jeepers H Crackers, that Varsha one was an absolute cow… 😑 😑 😑

Needless to say, I was disappointed when they lucked into a Β£25k/Β£30k finish. πŸ™ 😑

And with many of the gestures they made towards each other, who’s to say that there wasn’t something going on between them – even though Varsha claimed she was already taken? πŸ™„ πŸ™„

First time in ages I didn’t watch or bet (mainly as I was watching other sport on at the same time)
