I would laugh if they take two hours to get all the contestants in, then reveal it to be a false start and get them all out again within sixty minutes before said time bomb “goes off”, before reverting to the usual BB format.

I saw this story. But surprised people thought it was live although whether that makes it better or worse I don’t know.

Timebomb is definitely the coolest tag line they’ve had, there are some interesting things they could do with it too.

For those of you who like Prisoner’s Dilemma-type shows, CBS is doing a show between the end of Survivor and the start of BBUS called The Briefcase..

    http://tvline.com/2015/04/28/cbs-the-briefcase-premiere-date/

Basically, a family in financial difficulty is given a briefcase with $101,000. $1,000 is theirs to keep, but they have a decision to make over the following three days- keep none, some, or all of the other $100,000 for themselves or give it to another family who have some of the same financial issues- getting to know the family through texts, pictures, and secret visits. After the three days pass, the family is flown to LA to announce their decision- only to find out the second family had also been given a briefcase and has had to make the same decision about them. I’m hoping an episode ends with one family keeping their $100K and the other one giving the other $100K to them….

(as an aside, this will also be somewhat unique in that there’s no host per se- instead the production crew will be shown guiding the families through the process)

This sounds like a very interesting show. Though I can imagine them only being able to get one season out of it as families would be wise to the show in future?

That is the classic problem. But then again, I thought that about Secret Millionaire and people STILL haven’t cottoned on.

There’s going to be the classic “fake eviction” week billed as a “rewind time by a week”, isn’t there. When it happens, you can all say how proud of me you all are calling it out early.

Isn’t it quite early for a civilian BB start? Seems like it should be a June thing rather than May.

Yes it’s the earliest ever, they want a couple of weeks between it finishing and Celeb BB starting.

I think that’s fairly sensible, yeah. Decent idea to put a breathing room between the series. Ideally more than two weeks – but an autumn CBB doesn’t seem in vogue.

Also gives them time to make more changes to the house than just frosting the shower glass for the celebs’ privacy. I mean, it won’t be anywhere near as much of a change as the CBBs on Channel 4 had, but it’ll probably be more than just “Hey, look at the G-listers in a house you’re already sick of!”

I’m hearing rumours of a new Chaser called The Vixen. We were aware they’ve been after someone young and female for a while.

I don’t know who it actually is, sorry.

I wouldn’t be shocked if it was Gail Trimble- remember her from University Challenge a few years back right around the time The Chase started? She’s 32, so she’d fit the younger female…

She never struck me as having the arrogance you sort of need to play a Chaser character, but you never know.

It is finally confirmed that Civilian Big Brother Germany will be broadcast in autumn this year on Sixx, ProsiebenSat1’s small women’s channel. It will air for three months and the daily highlight show will be broadcast at night, probably 10pm. They try to be more open for men and increase their market share, they say. I’m really looking forward to it. Although I start watching the civilian version on Channel 5 every time and stop bothering after about 3 weeks. Hope German BB will keep my attention.
