GET IN THE HOLE

Right, sorry I’ve been “off” all week. However The Open is on right now (when it’s not being weathered off) so here’s ten minutes of The Full Swing from 1996. Don’t be fooled, that’s not the Don’t Scare the Hare set. How slowly does Tarbuck read the questions?

Ha! I’m afraid I always cite Full Swing now whenever people slag off shows like Don’t Scare The Hare as the reason why the BBC must be destroyed. I’m not saying Don’t Scare The Hare was any good but they were at least trying to do something different and it had high production values, whereas this is the most blatant attempt to ape the success of a previous hit imaginable. “Big Break is popular! Let’s just do it again but with another sport!”

I remember in every billing for this show in the Radio Times and at the end of every episode there was a contestant call, though of course there was never another series. And Charity Consolation really is the worst name for any round in any show ever.

I’m afraid having sat through the LEGENDARY PILOT of Don’t Scare the Hare in the audience, it really shouldn’t have been commissioned. Still, though.
