Hunted’s coming back

By | November 17, 2015

Because everything gets a second series these days regardless of how it’s actually done, and this time there’s a £100,000 prize pot to split between anyone who survives. Which is probably a bit galling for anyone who took part in series one, but as we always say television is made for viewers not participants so tough luck basically.

I wonder how much they’re offering in the upcoming US version. The first series was capable of being very very compelling at it’s best but hugely variable in quality elsewhere.

We’re also hunting (thanks) for people to join our Hangout for Bother’s Bar’s Rearranged Game Night on Saturday, if you’ve got a microphone and a Google + and you want to join us for live reaction then get in touch by Friday. I can EXCLUSIVELY reveal that as well as the usual Jackbox INTERACTIVE fun, we’ll be live roadtesting the Tipping Point electronic game with hilarious consequences. If you can’t join us in the Hangout then watch and join us anyway on Saturday night from 9:30pm.

I knew there would be a second series – the request for participants at the end of the final episode was a bit of a giveaway!

Sometimes companies do that anyway to capture applications and then wait to see if they get a recommission. But in this case, I think they are likely to have been given a provisional green light before the series ended.

That SAS thing is also returning with a jungle version, and a spin-off with the Secret Intelligence Service which sounds interesting.

I haven’t heard anything on US Hunted since the announcement of the show was made- I’m suspecting this will be the show that fills in the Wednesday slot after the spring season of Survivor ends in the middle of May and before the late June/early July start of BBUS..it also could be a full summer show as well (something to counter-program the Olympics)

Still waiting for that third series of The Mole UK! 🙁

I wonder if the second series will have more of a game show format rather than a sort of documentary about surveillance format that the first series had
