Cash Trapped is looking for contestants

By | May 19, 2016

Well they did a pilot for it a few months ago and it looks like Cash Trapped has made it to series and is looking for contestants (click if you want it a bit larger):

We wonder how much it’s changed from the pilot, that suggested a rather firey atmosphere, this has Bradley Walsh. Also you can relax about the potential of being there forever, contestants are there on a rollover basis until they leave, several shows are filmed a day, they are shooting for five days.

This marks the exciting return of Bradley Walsh working on a Glenn Hugill show, not seen since the much underrated (except by me) Spin Star back in 2008.

    The wait continues…

(This seems a lot darker than the French pilot, might throw in an application to see if there’s any more info about the format)

I hear this one is Bradley’s idea… but just a rumour

This just doesn’t sound much like a Bradley Walsh sort of show, although good for him it is.

Please tell me that’s not a summer replacement for the Chase. That defeats the object – they can’t rest it properly if Walsh is reprising his role. (Unless there are three of them this year and that’s in the middle of it.)

Well Rebound has 20 episodes (from what I’ve gathered) and we’re aware of Alphabetical and this. If it’s a The Chase replacement then it’s ingenious or madness. Presumably something will be going at 4pm.

I still don’t know how much I buy the story that Walsh created it, but it’s a great story.

Do we know anymore about the Scrabble pilot that was shot for ITV?

Google knows no more about it. However, I’ve just read a Sun article that speaks of a Stephen Mulhern format “Go For It”. It’s probably been declined.

Go For It is the new title for Talpa’s Challenge Me which has been looking for contestants recently. It is likely to be primetime.

I would presume Scrabble is probably done.

If Scrabble were to go forward, who would’ve hosted it? I know Jeff Stelling hosted the pilot but since Thomas mentioned Stephen Mulhern, would he have hosted the series?

As a member of an informal Scrabble club, I hope it airs purely to see if we’re playing it properly! I would prefer Stelling to Mulhern; Mulhern’s doing enough, I reckon. That said, they may do what they did with 500 Questions and pick someone odd. Noel Fielding? Nah, he’s doing a pilot for a Japanese game show for Channel 4. Seeing as Lord Sugar’s aide Nick Hewer got his own words-based game show, how about Claude Littner? Gambit benefitted from a recalcitrant host and I can see this doing so.
