[A quick reminder that we have a Show Discussion post up for The Question Jury starting at 4pm today so please direct discussion of it there.]
We’ve had an e-mail from Clare at ITV Studios who are looking for volunteers to take part in a non-broadcast runthrough this Wednesday (13th) after a last minute drop-out.
It is a smart quiz being developed by ex-University Challenge people, but it’s for families.
We’re therefore looking for a team of four family members to take part. It doesn’t matter how the four people are related, but two of them must be aged 11 to 18.
We can cover travel expenses for people who aren’t London-based.
If that sounds like you (kids might be quite difficult as the Summer hols haven’t started yet, although your kids may have just finished their exams). Then drop clare.parody@itv.com a line. Quickly!
Wasn’t Jack Welsby on Only Connect the the guy who was involved in a tie on Fifteen to One about fourteen years ago?
He certainly was – jointly winning series 34 with David Stedman.
Came close to doing the FTO and Countdown double, too – reaching the semi-finals of Countdown series 52 in 2004, only to lose to eventual champion Mark Tournoff in an absolute humdinger.
The Rose D’Or noms are out:

The Getaway Car??? Seriously??? Though this is the same award that went to a show based on Musical Chairs a couple of years ago…
And Pick Me, which I think I pull for but not enthusiastically.
I will try and check out Baking In The Dark.
The Eurovision Song Contest is up for Entertainment which feels like cheating.
To be fair the Rose d’Or winners tend to rather better picked than other format awards, Pointless and Wild Things have won the last two which I certainly accept from a critical point of view even if Pointless is only really successful over here.
I watch pretty much Danish TV and I don’t know which show is meant to be Baking In The Dark. So if you find its original title (I really couldn’t find it last night), please tell me. I’d love to watch that.
Don’t know if this was mentioned, but apparently The Code got picked up for a second run according to this article..

And Release the Hounds! Both in 2017. Good spot, thanks.
Baking in the Dark is a kids show from DR called Ultras Sorte Kageshow

It was developed by comedian Nikolai Storkholm
A-ha, it’s Total Blackout with food, basically. Thanks!
Here seems to be a full episode with adults:
Thank you! I’ve been looking fof it everywhere and no one seems to say the original title. Not a big fan of DR Ultra so I missed it,but I will take a look at it.
Again: thank you very much, I really wanted to know!
