Spiel 5 – Strickleiter, Rope Ladder. And we’re going outside! Which means I’m taking a shower.
Game five looks like climbing a giant rope ladder.
But before I go, was it just me, or was Stefan way too predictable with his plays in that last game? I honestly think he should have varied his picks and played some higher cards earlier on, to at least capture a couple points and make him harder to read.
Shame it’s not an entirely rope ladder, they still have solid steps.
Interesting how Stefan is taking the standard one-side climbing method, while Klaus is doing the wraparound method.
There’s a time limit of four minutes for his. The ladders are not tethered, which makes it much more difficult. Klaus off to an early lead.
EASY victory for Klaus. Stefan probably wasn’t a quarter of the way up the ladder with his method.

Klaus wins in 55 seconds, Raab only about halfway up.
Spiel 6 – Football. Speaks for itself.
Game 6 is Football (football).
But not before an advert for a TV Total diving contest.
Is… Is this a commercial for a Raab-led belly-flop competition?
Oh wait, they’re going American with their football!
Ah, it’s AMERICAN Football.
Interesting, there’s a pitching machine, perhaps it’s going to be a catch-and-return contest?
Looks like they will be battling to catch flying footballs.

Yes, just had to restart my browser, for some reason.
Kinda disappointing, that match… it was just them catching one at a time, three balls each for four sets. It was probably more a challenge of catching the balls with the awkward equipment on than it was actual “football” per se.
Stefan wins 6-2 after three sets, with Klaus unable to catch up.

It’s the good old name things in a list game.
Stefan blew this game on a math question to lose a big jackpot once before, right?
It is a good, classic game. But it’s not the ‘put things in order’ quiz.
Didn’t mean to respond to myself there!

Basically Klaus and Stefan take it in turns to name items that belong to a list. 30 seconds to come up with an answer, blow the list and the point goes over.
I want to why Stefan is licking things off his screen.
Wow, first list completed without errors… Well done them!
This game is slightly less difficult than it looks because all the answers are listed in alphabetical order and contestants can see where the gaps are.
Question 1: The 21 countries that border the Mediterranean. They get them all, so no point is awarded.
AMAZING STUFF – Between them, they manage to name the 21 countries bordering the meditteranean. The fact the answers are in alphabetical order here helps. Still, great answers.

Game 8: Frisbee (frisbee)
Klaus leading 21-7 going into game eight.
It was apparently the top 20 wine-producing countries.
Klaus wins the game 4-1 and pulls even further away, 21-7.
Looks like frisbee football, sort of. Must release the frisbee within ten seconds, try to score past your opponent. Four minutes total.
This game is basically throw the frisbee as hard as you can at your opponent.
Raab being more accurate here. Also taking longer to take his shots.
