The Special Events are the double- and super- stacked events and are worth double and triple points respectively.

If you cash in more than one special event, you will score a +5 point bonus for each additional cash after the first.

In the event of a tie the person who finishes higher in the Superstack Grand Final will take the higher position. In the event that neither play in the grand final, highest event scores will be compared until a winner can be determined.

All standard events begin with 1500 in chips and a ten-minute blind clock. The standard Top 10% payout structure will be used. The double stacked events start with 3000 chips, the Super Stack Grand Final 5000.

For Mix It Up Real Good:

The points for all ten events will count. HORSE and 8 Game Mix will be worth double and triple points respectively.

General FAQ

I’m running a bit late, can I still play?
I recommend pre-registration, you can buy-in anytime up to the event start. But if you forget than suddenly remember, you can in fact buy-in late up until the end of the first level.

How can it be fair that someone doesn’t show up and so folds every hand scores more than me?

It is fair because they’ve paid their money into the event and are using their option to fold every hand, losing as the blinds catch up to them. If you want to fold every hand, you are quite entitled to do so. And you probably won’t finish last if you do that. However, you also won’t win, and the scoring system is weighted up the top end, not to mention the prizemoney.

There’s a lot of money in the prizepool, is it possible to make deals?

Apparently so. Be warned – if you deal for all the money in play, the tournament will end with the positions determined by the chipstacks at the time.

I don’t think I can make most of the events, but I’d still like to play the odd one or two. Is that allowed?

It most certainly is, and will add a certain exciting frisson for everyone in the running for the title. All tourneys are seperately staked so you’re welcome to play them as a typical sit and go.
