{"id":14198,"date":"2022-09-20T09:32:58","date_gmt":"2022-09-20T08:32:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=14198"},"modified":"2022-09-20T13:56:04","modified_gmt":"2022-09-20T12:56:04","slug":"pointless-guest-hosts-start-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=14198","title":{"rendered":"Pointless guest hosts start today"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As we know, Richard Osman has stepped down from being the richardosman on <strong>Pointless<\/strong> (although he&#8217;s still doing the celebrity shows) and is being replaced by a series of guest hosts doing, I believe, three week stints. Sally Lindsay is the first one, Alex Brooker, Lauren Laverne, Stephen Mangan, Konnie Huq and Ed Gamble are also being lined up in what must surely be a future <em>Pointless<\/em> question in 2032.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will be interesting to see if this provides a fillip to the numbers, but also interesting to see how it affects the BBCs repeat policy on this show in future &#8211; it should be much harder to hide the repeats now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Edit: <\/strong>Wow, thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/danielmarkhurst\">@danielmarkhurst<\/a> on Twitter for the head&#8217;s up, Kevin Duala off of Challenge TV and <em>Blue&#8217;s Clues<\/em> (and to be fair the recent <strong>Bidding Wars<\/strong> on Channel 4) is hosting the final four eps of this series of <strong>Moneybags<\/strong> Thursday through to a double bill on Saturday (3:25pm onwards). I wonder why Craig was only available for the first ep?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Edit Edit:<\/strong> This has somehow completely passed me by, the new series of <strong>The Tournament<\/strong> begins today at 4:30pm on BBC1.
