{"id":14248,"date":"2022-11-14T20:47:25","date_gmt":"2022-11-14T20:47:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=14248"},"modified":"2022-11-14T20:48:41","modified_gmt":"2022-11-14T20:48:41","slug":"run-for-the-money-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=14248","title":{"rendered":"Run For The Money"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>From Tuesday 15th November,<br>Netflix<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=1005\">We used to be big fans<\/a> of <strong>Run For Money<\/strong> back in the day, and even though it&#8217;s still a going concern on Fuji TV (and has been for almost 20 years) where it runs periodically with a new ep coming New Year, here&#8217;s an international spin-off on Netflix, where it&#8217;s gained a superfluous &#8220;the&#8221; because nobody at Netflix understands television, but it&#8217;s made by the same people and appears to be the same game and we&#8217;re still extremely annoyed nobody&#8217;s done an episode set at Alton Towers yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"665\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-IYzF8Tii8s?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Basically: go out on the run, stay on the run as long as possible clocking up cash as you go. If you get caught by a Hunter you&#8217;re eliminated and win no money. You can wimp out and &#8220;surrender&#8221; at a phone box and take whatever money you&#8217;ve accumulated, or you can go all the way for the big money. Along the way to stop them from just hiding out they&#8217;ll be obliged to go on missions where they&#8217;ll have decisions to make, usually some sort of element where they can up the prizemoney by risking more Hunters on the field, a decision that does not have to be unanimous, a task where *not* completing it will reveal their location, tasks to earn advantages to save them from Hunters that sort of thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s great fun, although I&#8217;ve not watched it for the best part of a decade so I don&#8217;t know what sort of modern twists we&#8217;ll be looking at.
