{"id":3263,"date":"2011-03-10T10:06:09","date_gmt":"2011-03-10T10:06:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=3263"},"modified":"2011-03-10T14:58:17","modified_gmt":"2011-03-10T14:58:17","slug":"indie-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=3263","title":{"rendered":"Indie Club"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re in quite a good period for indie shows at the moment, shows done on a small budget for small broadcasters (or indeed just the internet):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We know <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ruon.tv\">Accumulate<\/a> already of course.<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;ve already <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=3256\">done something<\/a> on 5Hole&#8217;s <strong>Double Cross<\/strong>, which is well worth catching on their live stream if you can. 5Hole&#8217;s next production is <strong>War of the Words<\/strong>, which is being suggested as a competitive version of <em>The Cube<\/em> but with word games which sounds like fun.<\/li>\n<li>Do you remember Tom Scott did a show called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=2490\"><strong>You\u00a0Against The World<\/strong> <\/a>for some conference or other? <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomscott.com\/world\/\">Well he&#8217;s only gone and put the full edited thing up now<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On Twitter yesterday I was joking that 5Hole&#8217;s next production should be the first podcast reality dating show called <em>Date Davis <\/em>however, what if there IS scope for a podcast dating show? After watching the <em>DC<\/em> livestream last night the format idea I had is something like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Single people write in. Producers pick two people who are reasonably local to each other.<\/li>\n<li>Host introduces the two via Skype. They have a half an hour probably slightly stilted and uncomfortable chat whilst the host and a panel of experts\/comics listen in silently.<\/li>\n<li>After half an hour, panel give opinion\/advice.<\/li>\n<li>At the end of the show the host shows pictures on the live videostream, then the potential daters can decide whether they want to see each other in real life.<\/li>\n<li>Then something happens and the show ends.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yes it&#8217;s basically <strong>Dating in the Dark\/The Marriage Ref<\/strong> except more FUCKING New Media Yeah, somebody flesh it out and make it happen please thanks.
