{"id":8032,"date":"2014-06-12T10:33:54","date_gmt":"2014-06-12T09:33:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=8032"},"modified":"2014-06-12T11:58:19","modified_gmt":"2014-06-12T10:58:19","slug":"the-singer-takes-it-all","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=8032","title":{"rendered":"The Singer Takes it All"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OK here&#8217;s something potentially quite intriguing &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.broadcastnow.co.uk\/news\/commissioning\/c4-orders-real-time-voting-show\/5073022.article\">according to Broadcast<\/a>, C4 are going to try and steal a march on ITV&#8217;s <strong>Rising Star<\/strong> with <strong>The Singer Takes It All<\/strong>, a live singing show hosted by Alan Carr where the people at home will vote in real time with an app, with the stage moving forwards or backwards depending on how well people are doing and the person who stays in the gold zone the longest winning a cash prize.<\/p>\n<p>Of course they should ditch the stage and just have them on a conveyor belt.<\/p>\n<p>So it&#8217;s PERPENDICULAR <em>Rising Star<\/em> then, a show whose performance worldwide has been rather patchier than you might have been led to believe.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>C4 head of entertainment Justin Gorman said The Singer Takes It All had been in development since 2013 and will have a different tone to talent shows on rival broadcasters.<\/p>\n<p>The show is \u201cabout being in the moment, not about recording contracts\u201d, Gorman said, adding that the concept was \u201cbold and risky\u201d.
