{"id":9195,"date":"2016-03-07T14:58:34","date_gmt":"2016-03-07T14:58:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=9195"},"modified":"2016-03-07T14:58:34","modified_gmt":"2016-03-07T14:58:34","slug":"million-pound-dropped","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=9195","title":{"rendered":"Million Pound Dropped"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to Metro, <strong>The Million Pound Drop &#8211; Live!\/Recorded!\u00a0<\/strong>has <a href=\"http:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2016\/03\/07\/quiz-show-the-million-pound-drop-has-been-dropped-by-channel-4-5738016\/\">finally been given\u00a0the axe<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We had a hate\/love affair with the show really &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=1354\">it really was<\/a> a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=1368\">bit rubbish at first<\/a>, hailing from an era when Endemol would confidently put out highly hyped but slightly rubbish shows as de rigeur with its slow pace and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?p=2671\">abominable question writing<\/a>, but turned it around to become a show I highly enjoyed tweeting along to, and even though I still think playing along officially with the app is more like work than leisure, it was I think<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bothersbar.co.uk\/?page_id=5858\"> the first show to have an app that was worth the money<\/a>. Although they still missed a trick in not calling it <em>The Million Pound Drapp<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>I expect there&#8217;s a chance it may come back in the future &#8211; it&#8217;s been off and on in a few countries in its short five year history.
