Enjoy this whilst it lasts, there might not be anything on next week’s…
- The Chase (5pm, Weekdays, ITV1) – A new run for let’s be honest, ITV’s answer to Eggheads. The first series was mildly entertaining, I wonder if they’ve ironed out the creases for this second, longer run.
- Come Dine With Me (9pm, Monday, C4) – the gameshow hosts special featuring Pat Sharp, Jenny Powell, Anthea Redfern and crazy uncle Michael Barrymore.
- The Million Pound Drop – Live! (10pm, Monday – Friday, 9:30pm Saturday, Channel 4) – the lovely Davina’s back with contestants trying to avoid dropping money through holes. And you’ll be able to play along live on the internet! I’ve been a bit down on the theory of this show, but I am gettiong more excited the closer it gets, so we’ll see.
- It’s only the bloody Eurovision Song Contest! (Right, pay attention: Semi-finals are Tuesday and Thursday, 8pm on BBC3, the grand final is 8pm on Saturday on BBC1 and BBCHD) – I’ve not been following this at all this year, so all the songs are going to be a surprise to me, except for the UK entry sung by Josh Dubovie which let’s be honest, probably won’t even be getting any points from Ireland this year. Live from Oslo, the semi-finals will have commentary from Paddy O’Connell and Sarah Sawood, Saturday’s grand final will be commentated by Graham Norton who if he is as good as last year will be very good indeed.
