With all the excitement over the Weakest Link reboot this coming Friday night, some colleagues were surprised to hear that I had been a contestant the best part of twenty years ago so I thought it was time to write up the experience – and link to the video, something that absolutely wouldn’t have happened up until a few years ago. It’s all hidden under a cut because it’s quite large, so if you want to know click on the link.
Whodunnit?
Armchair Detectives with Susan Calman begins on BBC1 the week after next (Monday 20th), which had a lot of input from Bar regulars so I hope it isn’t rubbish or that will be awkward, but to celebrate here’s ten minutes of Jon Pertwee hosting mid-seventies sleuthing show Whodunnit?
SdH Bonusrunde 4/11/17
We know not all of you can listen along with the Raab/Star/Henssler Watchalongs, so as ADDITIONAL CONTENT I’m going to do rough edits of the various special events our commentators come up with during the adverts and boring bits.
This episode we have Catchbusters with Dan Peake and Dealing With David as provided by David Bodycombe.

One ‘n’, two ‘s’s, Stefen Henssler is BACK for a second night of SdH where a member of the public will take on the celebrity chef over fifteen events to win the rollover jackpot which this episode stands at €500,000.
And that means we’re back as well providing commentary, entertainment and gossip throughout the show’s lengthy running time. Do come along and keep us company, we’ll be reading your tweets all night.
And feel free to dip in and out, on previous form the show will still be going on past midnight. The musical turns on offer are Sunrise Avenue and Alina.
Our commentary stream link will appear here – live from 7:15 to around midnight.
This stream is commentary only. You will need to have a naughty stream running at the same time for the visuals. We are likely to be about 15-20 seconds behind the visual stream (and about a full minute behind if you’re watching an actual satellite feed), sorry. To watch it would be useful to download Opera and sign up for ProSieben’s catch-up service – it’s pretty simple to work out, don’t click the box if you don’t want e-mail messages. You will need to put in a proper e-mail because it will send you a confirmation. Go into your settings (Cog top right of Speed Dial screen, then bottom) – go to Privacy settings, click on Enable VPN. Go to Pro7 stream, click on blue VPN symbol in address bar, turn it on for Germany. Hassle but should work!
Back up – best in Opera or Firefox. Best with ad-block.

Tschüß!
The Hunted Experience
Crikey, they’re turning Hunted into a Crystal Maze-esque 90 minute live experience.
What’ll be the next show to do this? My money’s on A Question of Sport.
Dr Gameshow
Possibly of interest (although not possibly to everybody’s taste), Earwolf has just launched a podcast called Dr Gameshow, which sounds like it started out as a local radio show in New York and has found a new home under a specialist podcast wing.
In it, comics Jo Firestone and Manolo Moreno are joined by improv comics (of varying levels of fame) and call-in guests to play largely silly games submitted by listeners in order to win a custom magnet. I’ve only listened to episode one thus far, but it was loose and silly and quite funny – the antithesis of NPR’s Ask Me Another’s smugness really.
It seems to come out twice a week at an hour a go, you can subscribe in your podcast player of choice or you can listen on the website. It started only last week.
I’ve also started listening to Pappy’s Flatshare Slamdown, a mere six years after it first started. It’s alright.
