Not sure if this means anything, but if anybody’s read Good Times (JLC’s autobiography) everything he expresses a desire to do in that book, Five have given him. Should this continue to its logical extreme, expect a stop-motion animated series using his Star Wars figures in the 2011 schedule.

Seriously though, how can this possibly work without coming across as a post-modern mickey take?

Can’t do any worse than his chat show or Heads of Tails. Wouldn’t want to watch it in a million years, but I think JLC would probably be a good fit for Bully.

I actually think JLC would do a good job. Remember he loves the sport of darts – as seen in the Sky One show ‘Justin Lee Collins 180, where he attempted to take part in a national competition to qualify for a tv event as ‘The Bristol Flyer’.

He can’t be any worse that Jim Bowen for presenting the show, and I wouldn’t put it past Five if they were to bring it back to get the PDC score caller Ross Bray, rather than the old skool Mr Green.

If someone other than Greeny was the co-host, that would definitely be a big change.

You can’t help but think they might not do “IIIIIIIIN one” et cetera quite as well, though.

It would also be very different if John Patrick’s music wasn’t used.

To be honest, I think it would’ve been cool to have JLC to host a quiz show and it’s gutting to know that it never happened but Bullseye with Freddie Flintoff made by ITV Studios is just as good as the one on Five with JLC would’ve been

Heads or Tails on FIVE in 2009. Not exactly a quiz show, but still. It also wasn’t exactly any good.

Well, I do somewhat enjoy Heads Or Tails on Five as there is a short clip on youtube which is about 6 mins long (everything else is lost media, apparently) and the mechanic used. Except it was voted #2 in “Worst New Show of 2009 poll” and when I watched this show at the age of 3, I think that JLC was a good presenter and my opinion doesn’t change even when I’m writing this at the age of 19. But I think someone at Eyeworks need to tweak the format so it seems less of a ripoff of Deal or No Deal and idk if 5 will even recommission it for 2026, not like Eyeworks doesn’t want to make shows for UK broadcasters anymore. But let’s hope someone at Eyeworks make a proper quiz format for TV.
