Out of contract

Alright, so this is one of those stories I find quite interesting but will probably bore the average punter to tears – ITV are suing Mediaset for £13m for airing their local Spanish version of Objective’s (now an ITV company) The Alphabet Game (we of course know it as Pasaparabla) for the last five years. Of course when it was on the BBC it wasn’t offering multi-million Euro prizes:

Things to go and see

Not much happening, so here’s a round up of upcoming recordings, in no particular order.

  • All-Star Family Fortunes films at ITV Towers throughout October. SRO.
  • Win Your Wishlist – new lottery show (I believe): “One lucky couple will be competing to win seven amazing prizes – all personally chosen by them to make up a very special Wish List. In a nail biting game against the clock, how many of their special, dream prizes can they win?” Nailbiting indeed. Filming in Glasgow end of October/early November, SRO.
  • The Fanatics – Baz Ashmawy leads teams of fanatics through wild and – yes! – crazy games based on their knowledge of their favourite subject. Films October in Manchester. SRO.
  • Outrageous – It’s the long awaited pairing of Richard Madeley and AJ Odudu as three lads battle it out through wild and – yes! – crazy games to try and win a trip to Ibiza with their chums. But watching over them and offering help and advice is… their mums! Films 14th October at ITV Towers. SRO.
  • Keep It In The Family (jazz hands) – films variously at Elstree at weekends, keep your eye on Applause Store.
  • Relatively Clever – New family quiz filming at Elstree during October half term. Applause Store.
  • Catchphrase – Films earlyNovember at The Maidstone Studios in Kent. Haven’t been there for a while. Applause Store.
  • A Question of Sport – Films in Salford in October, tickets by ballot. BBC Ticketing.

I think that’s basically everything.
