This, quite clearly, is going to be amazing
Alright, ignore the fact it’s pretty spoiler heavy, here’s the pre-titles and titles for Halloween Fort Boyard, Wednesday 31st October:
They’ve REALLY gone to town on it. And long term fans might like to play “spot the old footage” – some of the shots in that go back to the very first night time episodes in 1991! So it’s probably just as well the “sawing a woman in half” game, not seen since 1990, also returns as a one-off.
In other news:
- The Chase has been sold to Russia.
- Stefan Raab’s Quiz Boxen (i.e. quizboxing) special is on Thursday night on ProSieben (9:30pm start UK time)
Fifty 50 Episode 4
Well would you believe it? Fifty 50 Episode 4 is up featuring Tv’s Daniel Peake and the internet’s me chatting with Lewis Murphy about gameshows and that.
You can download the podcast direct from here, and you can look at the exciting show notes here.
Topics for discussion include MIPCOM, Breakaway, Catchphrase, The Common Denominator filming next month and Avanti un Altro.
Wooh
Hurrah! The weekend special on Avanti un Altro! I have been dying to write for weeks has finally happened. I hope you find it both informative and entertaining, or at the very least it will give you an idea of what’s going on.
Big in Leipzig: Zweiunddreizig
DON’T FORGET that Bob’s Full House is on Challenge TV tonight from 8pm, the first time it’s been shown probably since UK Gold about twenty years ago.
Wow, really?
So MIPCOM has been and gone for another year. We’ll let you read Buzzerblog’s round-up as there’s no point in duplicating effort. In a nutshell:
- The Bank Job won best game show format at the awards. Wow, really? (series 1 discussion, series 2 discussion)
- The Money Pump is the hot new quiz format. Wow, really? (Discussion)
- DIVING WARS.
- Catchphrase is coming back to ITV.
I expect we’ll be talking about ALL of these things on Fifty 50 Show this weekend.
IN OTHER NEWS, The Great Escape has been cancelled. Pity.
