If like us you’ve quite enjoyed watching Taskmaster NZ (which will all be on All 4 this week) alumni Guy Montgomery’s Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont-Spelling Bee Australia on iPlayer (and, er, Youtube) you might be thrilled by this news in Chortle today, he’s doing it at the Soho Theatre, Walthamstow on September 2nd, tickets go on sale Friday morning.
If you’ve not seen it, it’s a show where comedians try and spell words, but that’s extremely reductive as there’s a ton of comedy and creativity in the set-ups – it’s basically a lesson in how to really annoy comedians. Worth a watch!

I think my favourite bit is when Guy challenges Paul Williams (speaking of Taskmaster NZ!) to spell “pink”. And Paul spells the colour, only for Guy to say, “Incorrect. It’s spelled P-Exclamation point-N-K.”
It’s extremely basic, but Guy Williams trying to spell Feliz Navidad always makes be laugh. https://youtu.be/y7hvbsOH8Xw?si=9WiPaEZdVvmE4jbY
I just watched ‘Murders in’ on Talking Pictures TV. It was quite good, even though it was all in French, so I thought I would record the series. When I went to the next episode the description was…
Murders on Aix Island – Les Mystères de l’île. 2016. Director: François Guérin. Stars Julie Ferrier & Isabel
Otero. Police investigate the murder of a former convict found dead near Fort Boyard. [S]
Hello (Bonjour), I thought. That sounds interesting. Maybe you will find it interesting too. It’s on Talking Pictures TV on Tuesday (Mardi) at 21:00.
Thanks! Always love seeing the Fort on film.
