How exciting, thanks to @VierkanteO for pointing out that the Dutch have started a new run of Bother’s Bar favourite De Slimste Mens, sticking close to the Belgian presentation this time. You can watch it here. You’re welcome.

A outstanding format as ever (watching the original quiz since 2003 and the Dutch since 2006). The current host needs more quip though.
I see they’ve bought the list round back. Female erogenous zones followed by pieces in Stratego. Amazing.
This time it was: movies Leonardo DiCaprio starred in, all the political parties in Holland and … synonyms of the vagina. Haha, you gotta love this, it is absolutely so inappropriate for this channel.
Amazing!
777.000 viewers and 18.8% share. A very very decent figure, especially related to the first hot day of the summer, on a channel that normally schedules lots of documentaries, news, cultural series.
In comparison, last weeks program in that slot was 242.00 with 4.0 share. I am curious how it will develop this week, as reactions were not particular positive nor negative. People do like the Belgian version more, but it had better responses than the previous Talpa/Tien and RTL4 series.
I think the man who has to click on the right answers with his mouse could do with being a bit more on the ball. Still, though.
True, I think they recorded this weeks episodes at once, so hopefully we will see some improvement next week.
Ratings dropped a bit to 703k, however share increased to 19,9%
Incidentally, fans of De Mol will be please to know that this year’s Mole, Anne-Marie Jung, is currently competing. The show is on nightly.
I don’t know if this was planned beforehand or not (I think it might have been because of the original schedule date), but TAR Australia is going to be off for two weeks, then show the last three episodes over three nights…..and the first night is the same night as the premiere of the new BB Australia (don’t think they’ll overlap however)…
Anybody watching The Angel on Sky 1? If it goes the way I think it will surely the show is just Without Prejudice with a rich bloke deciding where the cash goes each week.
I want my hour back. The Angel makes Tipping Point look interesting and fast paced.

Someone’s also made a home version/control program.
Mind the Dutch.
Worst episode ever. Embarrassing low scores, easy questions they had not even a single clue and passed immediately.
Even the host tried to help quite obviously with hints, but they did not help at all…
As with almost any panel/quiz show, the cast is the format. Try any of the popular UK panel show in Holland and they all flop, as we are not close as funny as the British. If you had smart, funny, and tactical contestants, De Slimste would work perfectly. I am quite pissed off actually how they are able to ruin a good format like this.
Yesterday 1.3 million and 22.8% share, that is incredible, during the Olympics even.
Just wow at the 7/31 and 8/1 eps…
