Super Thing Found on Youtube Saturday

By | February 27, 2010

Just this second noticed a link to this and thought you’d find it interesting, it’s the pilot for Calendar Countdown. I’m putting this up whilst also watching it, so doubtless you’ll have some things to say when it’s finished:

Questions That Are A Bit Too Esoteric For Only Connect

By | February 26, 2010

It’s a sequence, what comes fourth? Time starts NOW!

  • Love and adventure
  • Cash to spend
  • Love and affection
  • Two or three friends

They’re the Things That Dreams Are Made Of (or at least, the things that everyone needs) by The Human League, which awesomely popped up on my iPod this morning. Well done to Mark D for being the first, and everyone else for the reasoning.

Join us next time for more Questions That Are A Bit Too Esoteric For Only Connect! Bye!

Watching Telly: Ant and Dec’s Push the Button

By | February 25, 2010

The first episode of this is recorded tonight at Pinewood if my notes are correct, if you are going then why not tell us about it? I’m not interested in spoilers of results (it is going out on Saturday, after all), but I am interested in how it works and what you thought of it.

Meanwhile I’m genuinely baffled by the pairing of Chris Tarrant and Amanda Holden for The Door. Both responsible for much more misses than hits, but the hits are megahits (and the misses, well, are megamisses). It’s also a bit odd that Chris Tarrant would now appear ot be hosting the sort of show he would regularly take the piss out of on Tarrant on TV. If you can’t beat ’em…

Specials Update

By | February 24, 2010

I’ve put up some new old specials. Seeing as Adventure Line don’t have many shows left, I thought it would be nice to see them back in their glory days hence:

I was convinced I had done a feature on the Quebecois version of Les Forges aux Deserts, but it turns out I actually haven’t so that is something to look forward to in the future (although better: there might be an original French episode coming my way soon). Also La Piste du Xapatan.

The Cube US

By | February 24, 2010

Buzzerblog are reporting that it looks like The Cube US has been greenlit.

This is great news, except in this instance I think the more I see of Minute to Win It, the more of a party-spoiler it seems to be, and when it comes to this sort of thing the first to air tends to be the successful one.

Divided’s back in April

With Andrew Castle. So there we are. I’d give you a specific date, but Endemol’s Twitter hasn’t said anything.

That is CLASSIC Bother’s Bar investigative journalism in action, there.

And a streamlined Pointless is in the listings as being back 8th March, thanks Travis.
