This came up on my Youtube feed last night completely unexpectedly – I’ve no idea who’s behind it (well I do – the names are in the credits) and chat on the Discord sounds like it’s a passion project, but I wouldn’t be doing my “job” properly if I didn’t give it a push. It’s a horror trivia game show – format is a pretty simple categories-and-buzzers affair although the endgame goes surprisingly Finders Keepers, but it’s also really slick and well produced and hosted, tapping into campy 60s comedy horror odd couple witch and zombie set-up. Special guests from the horror movie world ask questions. Doesn’t outstay its welcome. A nice surprise! Episodes released weekly.

You know, for something made as if it’s for TV but destined for YouTube, it actually works pretty damned well.
Format-wise, it’s simple, but that’s fine as long as the questions and everything else elevate the experience. Thankfully, that’s the case here.
It’s fun and camp comedy themed around horror, with some well-thought-out questions to boot. A bit of a Remote Control vibe here, too.
The endgame is a bit hard to follow simply because it’s the player turning their back to the camera at times, and it’s hard to film close-quarters action in such a confined play area. It’s a nice idea, but a smidge more coverage would work.
Overall, this is a diamond in the rough, or a sea of MrBeast wannabes with an Aldi budget. It’s something that Dropout’s Sam Reich should strongly consider emulating in some way.
