American Gladiators launches internationally on Amazon Prime April 17th, filmed on the one-series-wonder French set.
The French show had an expanded game set compared to the UK one and we see at the very least Whiplash has made it across, although surely that’s nobody’s favourite game. Trying to figure out what they’ve done with their Wall – in the French show it was off to one side with buzzers at the top as their arena in Pergy isn’t quite as tall as ours. We’ve got no idea how LEVELLED UP Gauntlet is, but it can’t be any easier as our version is currently. 16 events are promised, which is more than the 13 + Eliminator we currently have.

So filming in France, on a failed version of the set and presumably a lack of public audience. Regardless of what they do, there cannot be anything as spectacular as filling the NEC or Sheffield Area for the atmosphere.
Breakthrough & Conquer is back, which doesn’t translate to the UK. Earthquake instead of Everest, effectively they are both about pushing power and a tilting platform. Whiplash is reverse Earthquake, but on the ground. Glad to see they went with The Ring, sad it hasn’t lasted in the UK as it was a great event to watch. The Edge looks a bit smaller? We shall see if that is a help/hinderance. Seems they didn’t fancy Destruction or Unleash.
