Something to consider: if ever you run Word Up! again, you might want to have a tie-breaker between everyone who gives the correct answer on the same day, because tie-breakers are fun. Or you might decide that you like the race aspect that you have at the moment and not change a thing.

Well, at one point I managed to change an entry of my ladder to something that didn’t work with the current letter set, missed it until I was doing my next day’s entry.
…And I may have had Computer in place of Macintosh at one point, not entirely sure if I did or not. (If I did, the codeword I was using at that point might have been Game, as in Program -> Game (Games are Programs) and Game -> Computer (As in Computer Game)

A lot of people put COVER where VERSION should have been which is a pity for them.
I went with ‘Needle’ based on completely misunderstanding the rules of the contest, if that counts as a blooper.

Can’t watch this on my iPad, but it was impressive and quite funny watching from the audience.
I suspect if they’ve put this up he won’t be back doing a slightly different challenge on TV then. But hopefully he will.
