By | June 27, 2014
  • NBC/Universal are looking for contestants for paid run-throughs in June and July in London. Send an e-mail to contestants@nbcuni.com for details.
  • Someone has uploaded not one but TWO episodes of Connections with Sue Robbie on Youtube, Really, the show The Link could have been. Still loving Link the Letters, and the whole show has got a really strong graphical look.
  • The World Cup not exciting enough for you? Next Thursday at 8:30 (new time!)  is the next Bother’s Bar Poker game. Come and join us. It’s a World Cup rest day so you won’t be missing anything.
  • Finally Fort Boyard season 25 starts tomorrow! The latest exciting revelation is that there’s no lever next to the treasure room. Also they’ve updated the app with new games, a mixed bag but a bit more interesting than the ones originally included.

    Saturday round up :

New series of Break The Safe on BBC1 at 8:10pm. Be interesting to see if any format tweaks have been made, although probably not! One of the more bizarre lotto recommissions based on the negativity it received during the first series due to the re filming etc.

The Cube celebrity special on ITV at 7:30pm. Curiously only has one celebrity billed for the entire episode which could mean good things. The Radio Times blurb makes several references to Mo too…

Since the Brazil vs Chile game went to extra time and penalties, Break The Safe has been moved back to 8:45

Right, that’s episode 1 done and dusted. The rounds are exactly the same as the first series, so nothing’s changed there. The only changes that HAVE happened are both in the final ‘counting down the 30 seconds’ bit. If you’re playing along at home, the last 30 seconds are displayed on the screen along with a green ‘Safe Open’ icon when the safe is unlocked, so you get that play-along aspect that was missing from Series 1. The other change is that the coloured blocks for each individual second are scrapped although they still do the “did you unlock the safe on the first available second?” and so on, with an on-screen graphic to show the results as they’re revealed.
