Unfortunately there hasn’t been a gameshow based around Star Wars as far as I know.
So here’s an episode of Channel 4’s Star Test featuring Wayne Hussey from goth rock band The Mission.

Now seems as good a time to remind you as any that it’s the 55th and final EVER Schlag den Raab EVER (until inevitable one-offs in years to come and Raab gets bored of not being in telly, I reckon) this Saturday from 7:15/8:15 (on the continent) and we will be here to cover it LIVE! There’s €1.5m on the line and musical guests yet to be announced. We’re pulling for Robbie Williams reprising his role of not understanding what’s going on.
Join us then, or after the Strictly final if you want because it’s not like we won’t still be going. But do join us.
It is LITERALLY almost Christmas, and as has become a tradition I’ve put together another set of 21 Questions Wrong HOTSEAT for you to “do” round the christmas dinner table if you’re that way inclined. A bit less Christmassy this year, and my annual reminder that I really hate question writing.
And here it is. Enjoy.
Meanwhile thanks to Bumdidlyumptious for uploading The Genius: Side Story, a segment from Sangmin and Dongmin’s BangShiPop. I’m linking to this not being in a position to have watched it yet but likely to be of interest. Although…
Have you ever wondered what The Genius would be like if it was actually boring? Watch “The Genius : Side Story” on Bangshipop.

Wooh!
Congratulations WILD THINGS winner of Rose d’Or 2015 for TV Game Show #rdo15
— Rose d’Or (@RosedOr) December 9, 2015
Great decision, well done to Friend Of The Bar Gary Monaghan and the rest of the crew.
Wild Things is one of my fave shows of the year and features my favourite endgame of the year, which managed to be both very silly and incredibly tense. Here is our show discussion page on the first series, the show returns to Sky One in the new year.
Last year Pointless won, a show we got on board with quickly. This year Wild Things wins, a show we got on board with quickly. If I owned and didn’t rent I’d be remortgaging to put a bet on Tipping Point next year *taps nose*.
Also congratulations to The 3rd Degree (Pozzitive for Radio 4) which won best radio gameshow, but also one that I don’t know much about.
I still think it’s a bit early for Christmas specials by about a week but if you like me are part of that all important 18-35 demo (just, in my case) then you have all these to look forward to on ITV2 this week:
And you can even watch them if you’re outside the demo but there might be SWEARING.
There’s You’ve Been Framed at Christmas on Friday but that’s not in our remit. All these shows will doubtlessly be repeated endlessly over the coming weeks.
In other interesting news there’s a second series of The Almost Impossible Gameshow coming to ITV2 in January. I suspect they filmed two series back to back and split them up as that’s an odd schedule otherwise. Still though, new games are promised. The first series was a mixed bag – didn’t love it initially but gradually came round to its (read: The Rubberbandits) way of thinking, although still think it needed more ideas as I get bored of this sort of thing easily.
Everything’s winding down for the year and we’re all off to endless amounts of Christmas parties because we’re so popular and that, as such our policy of “try and do a post within three days of the last one” will probably go to pot a bit over the next month as the well runs a bit dry (although don’t forget we have the last ever Schlag den Raab to look forward to on the 19th December and the Poll of 2015 opening in the new year – start thinking about your votes!).
Still, here are some things you can get tickets to in the near future if you’re that way inclined:
