US television legend Dick Clark has passed away at the age of 82.

A lot of people commenting on the end of Ceefax today (even though it isn’t, there’s still some analogue ‘oop North’, as people putting on a Northern accent are wont to say). Can’t say I’m that bothered, I was always an ITV/C4 Teletext sort of guy in the same way I’ve always been a commercial telly sort of person. And if those were the pages you missed, we reviewed the Bamboozle app a while ago.
In other news, can anyone remember which year harmless popular sitcom My Family played Howie Mandel’s White Elephant on one of their Christmas Specials? I would probably put a clip up if I can find it.
Not enough of interest for a full Board of Excitement at the moment, but I think it would be remiss not to point out that Dara O’ Briain’s School of Hard Sums starts tonight at 8pm on Dave. It’s probably not quite a gameshow, but I expect it will be of interest.
Based on a Japanese show, it gives both Dara and celeb guests difficult problems and asks if maths or practical ability comes up with the easier solution. Tonight’s guests are regular Marcus du Sautoy and David O’ Doherty.
So after a two week break, the Bother Series of Poker IS! BACK! and tonight it’s an exciting double stack double money double fun tournament. It starts at 7:30 and it’s open to anyone who wants to play. The details are here.
