SRO seem to have backtracked on the Griff Rhys-Jones live panel show thing (previously called A Short History of Almost Everything) by playing down its live credentials and renaming it (I presume not its final title) The TV Archive Quiz. The recording dates don’t seem to have changed though.
I hope to have an iThing review of Catchphrase for you sometime this week.
We have been delving through online production music libraries. Take a look, that Track 5 is really bugging me.
Tonight sees the second round of the Bother Series of Poker main event. It starts at 8pm and will cost you £5.50 (about $8.60 at today’s rate) to play and it is open to everybody. If you haven’t joined the club yet, you’re advised to do so early because I have to approve your membership. See you there!
For whatever reason I felt the urge to watch an episode of Dick ‘n’ Dom’s Ask the Family last night. And happily the final episode is up on Youtube:
Although unfortunately by this point in the run most of the madness had been toned down after it had been so poorly received. Pity.
In other news, and this might be interesting, Griff Rhys-Jones is fronting a comedy panel game called A Short History of Almost Everything which will be going out LIVE on Mondays from February 20th on Channel 4. Viewers will be able to play along and dictate the scores, apparently. Tickets here, although I don’t know how much you’ll be missing if you just watch it on telly. Will it be on a delay to cut out the fun libellous stuff?
I guess this also gives a hint as to when The Bank Job is happening, as it’s 9pm entry presumably for 10pm start. So TBJ won’t be on Monday nights at 10 from the middle of February.
We were sent a link to Gameshow.co.uk. We have no idea what this is. Anyone?
It’s Round 2 of the Bother Series of Poker this Sunday at 8pm. £5.50 to enter, it is open to anyone regardless of whether they intend to win the league or not, and anyone in Brig’s Poker Club should be able to watch and chat if they don’t fancy staking up. Join us!
This is fun – two episodes of 1990 US Krypton Factor have been uploaded onto Youtube. Why not join the discussion?
