Short, also sweet

By | August 11, 2011

Well basically the trusty Bother’s Bar Supercomputer has picked a tremendous time to pack up, what with next week being so very exciting and everything so I’ll have to update by iPad, which is not ideal but also not the end of the world – expect entries to be a bit shorter for a bit, but never fear as I’ve got the Bother’s Bar Megacomputer on order, so fingers crossed normal service will resume shortly.

Bit annoyed it decided to cut out as I was watching Take The Money And Run though.

New BB House revealed at midnight

By | August 10, 2011

Our friends at Inside BB are sure to have them.

Actually another site has broken the embargo, and the new house looks very sexy actually.

In other news, probably not gameshowy enough to get a full review but deffo worth a mention: Say What You See on iPhone and iPad is a fun game that’s sort of a bit like Catchphrase and carries the Bother’s Bar Seal Of Approval. It’s also free to try, so get to it.

That’s Yer (Pi)Lot: Worth a Fortune

By | August 9, 2011

This films on Wednesday, if you’re brave enough to brave the London Studios in the current climate (tickets still avaliable for the 4pm recording) then we’d love to hear your opinions as I won’t be going.

From what I’ve heard, four people begin, something is bought out and people try and guess its value. Furthest away is eliminated, until the one person left wins a large cash prize. “Hilarious celebrity host” promised, but it is Applause Store so it could be literally anybody.

I predict a riot

By | August 8, 2011

Well with all the rioting going on in London, what better clip to put up (look, it’s a really quiet week) than Fathers for Justice invading the National Lottery Jet Set with Eamonn Holmes in 2006? Alan Dedicoat filling like a pro, here:

In other news, a repeat of the Series 3 vs Series 4 Champion of Champions Only Connect is on BBC4 at 8:30pm, Shooting Stars is on at 10pm on BBC2

Board of Excitement 7th-13th August 2011

By | August 7, 2011

There’s nothing on.

Well maybe that’s a bit unfair, the new series of Shooting Stars begins tomorrow at 10pm on BBC2. Take the Money and Run has extreme accents this week (Tuesday, ABC). Er, that’s it, there’s no Fort Boyard next Saturday because of the rugby.

Looks like another quiet week on the bar. We’ve not done any iThing reviews for a while, is there anything relevant I’ve missed?
