Lucky enough to see a taping of this series. Prepare to get a new song stuck in your head to rival “Rosalind’s a nightmare”.

This series stands out for me (in a promising way) in having a 4/1 rather than 3/2 or 2/3 split between younger, more novice and older, more experienced contestants. (Maybe James Acaster is actually more weathered than I realise??) I hope we see some more curveballs and bit more of a close competition than the last series.
Still, even as the ideas get less and less new, I find Taskmaster consistently enjoyable.

Should interest folks here (who haven’t bought absolutely everything already): There’s a Humble Jackbox Bundle available currently. The $12 tier includes basically everything they’ve done so far, fleshed out with a few of the earlier YDKJ titles.

Sorry, miscounted; no Jackbox 4 in the bundle, it stops at 3. Still seems worth it, mind.

In other news, I’m hearing on the grapevine that series 9 of 15-To-1 SHOULD start on September 3rd, as opposed to the previous date I was hearing of August 20th. If this is true, then you should see me on the 11th

Unfortunately it will probably be geoblocked. If someone manages to get hold of the first episode I could try my best to do subtitles. Am a bit busy at the moment so I don’t know about the entire series, but I would be able to do the first episode for sure.
