In other news, what’s great about the Dru Masters Apprentice UK soundtrack (it’s on iTunes) is that it would make a perfectly adequate replacement for a Mega Drive-era Sonic the Hedgehog game, listened to in isolation. It’s a great album, but a bit disappointed the more relentless version of the credits music (and intro to You’re Fired) (this year?) doesn’t seem to feature.

Yes, the version of the end theme on the soundtrack is the original. The soundtrack came out in 2007 (after the 2007 series had ended, oddly – a marketing opportunity missed there) and the theme was changed to the current version in 2008, starting with the celebrity edition.

I see a contestant call is out for the fifth series of Only Connect. Am I thinking right we are looking for a spring run?
No, recording in Spring, probably for Autumn broadcast to go out with UC again. I’m guessing repeats will fill the gap.
