VERY VERY GOOD NEWS INDEED

By | January 19, 2010

I’ve just read Solitary 4.0 will begin 30th Jan on Fox Reality.

In other news, Poll of the Year results to be announced on Thursday evening. LITERALLY quite exciting. I can EXCLUSIVELY reveal that a new record has been set for percentage share of the “winner” of the Hall of Shame.

Crikey, ratings for last night’s OC were over 400k. Didn’t see that coming.

Considering it had to cope not only with being on against Eastenders but also Big Brother, that’s impressive.

Clearly OC and BB fight tooth and nail for the same demographic, yes.

Awesome! Is that single episode or combined for all showings?

Either way, the BARB multi-channel Top 10s has tenth place for BBC 4 needing 200k, so I’m very hopeful for a fine showing very soon. Tremendous news and very well-deserved!

Is William G. digging out his old foolscap ledger of upmarket formats for BBC 4, the new home for distinctive quiz programming, even as we speak?

Single showing, not including repeats or iPlayer. I know the 7.30pm repeat in the first week brought in 200k.

To make things even more exciting, I’ve just regone through all the votes for the Hall of Fame because a number didn’t add up somewhere.

When are we going to get the results then – you’re in danger of stretching this out longer than an X Factor / Big Brother / Dancing on Ice pause!

Aaahh – I have a tendency to miss the crucial information! I’m guessing you’re not wanting to overshadow the National TV awards then and their increasingly made up categories!

Some more info on Wipeout 3: http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/01/20/wipeout-john-henson-matt-kunitz-guilty-pleasures/

    – The Big Balls will have two variations – spinning, and going up and down on hydraulics (so bouncing!)
    – The “smack-wall sweeper” looks like a simple wall of sweeper blades, but is indeed much trickier to navigate (not confirmed, but I’m wondering if a replacement for the sucker punch?)
    – A new stunt called “Door Knock”, which features a huge hammerhead behind a closed door – “My favorite wipeouts are coming up this season. In the Door Knock, you have this incredible element of surprise with the power of this 800-pound hammer to throw them back 15 feet. You get super slow motion of their complete look of shock.”
    – A new “Cafeteria” round, which looks like the latest home for the spinner and a Y shape sweeper from the pic with the article.
