Hurrah! Die Sommerpause ist kaput, Stefan Raab’s back for another thrilling night of skill games and quizzes and tonight it’s a quadruple rollover, so he’s defending €2.5m of his own money.

WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN?

Well you can join us for a LIVE text commentary right here on the Bar, if we can get naughty streaming.

I would be well and truly up for playing a minor role in the making of a Schlag den Brig, or a Schlag Dan Peake, or a Schlag den pretty much anyone, really.

Except you. Schut it, you schlag.

Schlag den Brig scans better, but I think we had the idea for Schlag den Bodycombe knocking around for about two years now.

A puzzle/quiz based version with DJB? That I would pay to see… and probably unsuccessfully apply for.

I don’t know why I’m commenting now – I gave up, went back to failing at dissertation research and have been sneakily following along with the comments…

Amazing show tonight. Great games (Ballball, Aufrollen, Die Holzturm) to name but a few. The show seems to be getting better and better.

Shame for Manuela. She was making one hell of a comeback, but Raab did a ‘Murray’ and snatched it right at the end.

On 17th November, the jackpot will be for the second time €3million, the current highest ever total.

This was a horrible episode to have to work during. I was watching on and off while at work, but once Manuela started making her comeback, all I wanted to do was stop everything and watch. During the final game, I had to put my phone away for a while, and when I returned, the connect.prosieben.de feed was on the commercials title card, so I had no idea if she lost, or if they went to one more commercial break before game 15, or if they already played a crazy fast game 15 and she won. Or lost. Absolutely ridiclous show, I’m so sorry I missed a lot of it.

Well done to Manuela, I’m proud to have picked her at the top of the show (yes I did). I can’t wait for November, and I’ll try to get off of work that day!

The show got 2.48m last night (1.65m in 14-49 demo), its second worst rating ever. 11.8% in the total ratings, and 19% in the 14-49 demo, leaving it 4th in the night’s ratings. Shame really as I thought it was the best show for a while

What was it up against though? Did RTL and ZDF chuck something on to try and split the audience?

RTL had ‘Das Supertalent’ (Germany’s version of ‘Got Talent’) and ZDF had ‘The Brain’. It seems that the media websites in Germany were also quite surprised that SdR came in as low as it did.
