Nudist Lingo

Dutch? Like getting naked? Good at word games? Why not apply for Nudist Lingo? (link safe for work, thanks to Squared Eyes for the tip).

I hope they avoid the red balls.

In other news, the exciting looking Release the Hounds will go out on Monday 28th October at 10pm on ITV2.

And unlike the other quiz to have a laptop on the set, at least this one will be used, rather than for somewhere for you to keep your question cards out of shot, eh Richard?!

I’m not sure about this from a visual perspective, I quite like the shots of them desperately leafing through the dictionary. Less impact from Susie tapping away at a keyboard. Maybe they can be kept on the desk for decorative/commemorative purposes.

On the other hand, it’s good for the show to be so up to date rather than just switching dictionaries every 4 years or so, and I guess that’s what it’s all about.

Blimey what with that, studio relocation, format changes, the new clock and CECIL and this dictionary stuff, it’s been tweaked more this year than probably ever.

        There’s a new clock?

Not sure what to make of this. Although I fully realise other versions have made more use of technology than us, the conceit of Countdown arguably only works if it’s low tech. If you’re going down this way, then what’s to stop the celeb always finding the longest word via a computer search, or an app to perfectly solve the numbers game every time it’s possible. ‘Beating the studio’ was always one of the little filips the viewer had.

Yes, the clock was updated recently with a new motor, the hand has been replaced and there are new, larger LED lights (which actually don’t work as well as the bulbs, the last light comes on way before the music finishes.)

According to C4Countdown, the old one, which apparently suffered frequent technical hiccups and sometimes had to be hit to get moving, simply stopped working.

Affari Tuoi celebrated its 10th birthday with not one but TWO special episodes where Flavio Insinna plays the game for charity with the help of two former hosts of the show.

here is Sunday’s episode with Pupo and Max Giusti

Don’t know about you but I’ve hardly recongised Pupo.

Like the idea with the cardboard cutout if the player goes off sick.
