What’s occurring?

By | March 23, 2015

No it’s not a new format! I’m just bored and thought I’d put a general thread up for you to tell me what I’m missing.

We’ve got some “proper” content lined up for towards the end of the week.

Victoria Coren-Mitchell is pregnant per an interview David Mitchell did over the weekend…

You may already know that Schlag den Raab has been postponed until late April. Prosieben are blaming that on ‘technical reasons’.

According to DWDL (German media website), there will be an extra episode of Schlag den Raab in the Autumn.

Thanks, I was about to say the Sommerpause will be around this time. In fact it’s felt like it’s already had one!

I listened to it this morning and it sounded great. If we can also get the in-game pieces of music as well, that would be even better

Here’s something borne out of a discussion about gameshows in the office last week (for some unfathomable reason, I’m the go to man for the occasional game/quiz show question)- so whilst it’s a quiet time around the bar…

It started with someone (very mistakingly) thinking Jim Bowen had passed away. So, knocked that on the head.
From there, it straying into the various bits of Bullsye, and someone tried to clarify a point of order on the rules of Bully’s prize board.

“So what happened if the professional player threw a dart in to Red 1 – and won a cut glass decanter and 6 goblets, only for the non darts player on their throw to hit the same Red 1 segment”?

“Easy”, said I- “prize gone..Stay of the black in in the red etc, etc”.

“Ahh”, said co-worker, “but what happened on the professionals 2nd turn and hit Red 1 again”?

    “Aher.ummm”. Said I.

Which is a good point. I can’t recall ever seeing that happen, and yet, something in the back of my mind has been nagging away, that the prize is re-won again.
    Anyone?

It definitely gets won again. I’m 95% sure I recall it happening before. It doesn’t even need to be one dart per person – it could be any three darts in the same bed at any point.

Definitely saw this happen on a repeat in the last year or so. Someone going for the bull and missing consistently if I recall.
