A little program from Italy: Il Più Forte – The Strongest

In every episode 8 people are selected but only one wins!
It’s a bit like The Genius for the brawny.
Martial artist Alessio Sakara and rugby player Martin Castrogiovanni travel across Italy seeking for the strongest people.

And forget garnets, score is kept with iron balls!
Eliminated players choose who gets their balls. Before the final showdown, the player with the most balls choose which of the hosts will train him for the final game.

I like how the hosts interact with each other, Martin with his Argentinan accent and Alessio with his thick Roman one.

And even if you don’t like the games, you get to see some Italian countryside

Yes indeed, there will be a discussion post on Monday, possibly a competition afterwards depending on how the format works.

New from ABC Australia, it’s “Hard Quiz.” Video is a bit funky in places, but it’s all there is for now. (Episodes 2 and 3 also available.)

That was interesting, the format’s no great shakes really and the sound effects are quite annoying, but if you’ve ever wondered what Mastermind would be like if Jimmy Carr hosted it then this answers your question – Tom Gleeson’s style and intonation are evidently quite similar. In that sense it was quite fun.

This seems to fall in the area of “my kind of quiz”.
The questions are actually of some difficulty (The question on Sid Vicious in ep2 as an example), but the show has room to make light.

The format itself isn’t hugely original… but I am enjoying the show.
