EMULSIFIED.

By | August 29, 2017

Because I’ve been playing lots of Splatoon 2 on my Switch recently, and I’m about to start playing Mario + Rabbids which is out today, what more appropriate video than that of short-lived Channel 4 back-when-it-was-vaguely-interesting paintballing show X-Fire with Ed Hall?

My Switch code is SW-2805-5403-1808 if you want to add me and can handle the raw skill.

Been playing Rabbids for a few days now. Excellent game however the difficulty spikes are a bit too erratic. You can go 5 battles without an issue then just be stuck on the same one for hours to then return to future battles with no trouble at all. Id rather it was more of a steady increase. Does not stop it being extremely addictive though.

I was a big fan of X-Fire back in the day and I still think they did a pretty good job of producing a good show out of something that seems like it would be difficult to film. Fun fact, one of the episodes – for reasons I don’t know – has never been broadcast, but the team still appears on the end of series leaderboard on the last episode.

My dubious recollection: the theme of the game in the unaired episode was “Star Wars”, possibly going too far for Lucasfilm’s lawyers’ liking.

According to Susan Calman on Twitter, Top Class returns on September 3rd at 9:30am. Shame about the time slot, I liked it on in the late afternoon (17:30).

Also, BBC Two seem to be repeating Perfection on weekday mornings.

BBC Two seem to be repeating three episodes of Perfection before repeating the first series of For What It’s Worth in the same timeslot, having repeated the first series and 35 episodes of series 2 of Two Tribes. I wonder why they wouldn’t just stick to repeating one series and see it through?

Right, all games in the next Jackbox collection revealed now. They are:

    * Fibbage 3 + All About You – Now the audience can give answers as well. All About You is a seperate spin-off where many of the questions are about the players.

    * Survive the Internet – Turn other people’s comments into sick burns for points.

    * Monster Seeking Monster – Set up dates with other monsters Love At First Sight style, but everyone also has a hidden role which earns more points if conditions are satisfied. The most gamey of the lot and probably too involved and lengthy for Game Night, but we’ll see.

    * Civic Doodle – Pictoral Consequences – two people draw, everybody votes, next people add on to the previous drawing.

    * Bracketeering – 16 player tournament Quiplash essentially but you earn points mainly by predicting winners of match-ups or indeed having the best answer. But you don’t know what the question’s going to be half the time, with hilarious consequences.

    Good stuff, releases this Autumn.
