Hmm.

DS reporting that Big Brother on Channel 5 is back on.

I can’t help but feel the moment this news may have been quite exciting passed several months ago. It kind of looks a bit desperate on both sides now.

Meanwhile Blue will be representing us at Eurovision with the self-penned I Can. That means no Song for Europe this year. I hope it’s like Bubblin’, that was well wicked.

Comes to show the BBC are going back to the old days.

Apparently Stefan Raab will be hosting their version of Song For Europe tomorrow on Pro7, 7.15pm GMT. We already know who is taking part but like last year, the German nation will choose the song.

    Total Wipeout: 4.17m (18.9%)
    The Magicians: 5.70m (25.0%)
In It To Win It: 6.60m (28.1%)
    Take Me Out: 4.08m (17.2%)
    The Brilliant Million Pound Awesome Drop Live: 2.20m (9.6%) , +1: 243k (1.1%)

Good ratings for The Brilliant Million Pound Awesome Drop. About the same rating as Friday night. Looks like the weekend showings will work rather than having it stripped.

Magicians and IItWI had series highs with Dale’s show once again being the most watched show on yesterday.

I take it the UK ‘Song For Europe’ has been abandoned by the BBC and choose both the singers and the song without the public vote on the grounds of budget squeezing?

Probably on the basis it hasn’t rated well for a number of years, and it can guarantee a named entry without embarrassment of them losing.

The UK public isn’t necessarily going to choose the act that will most likely to appeal to Europe. This is a good move by the BBC.
