Don’t Scare the Hart

By | April 15, 2011

In slightly baffling news, we’ve had confirmation that despite putting out a massive press release saying Miranda Hart is going to be the voice of the Don’t Scare the Hare hare, which I could see working, it’s now Sue Perkins and feels a bit less appealing. What’s THAT all about, eh?

In other news, Penn and Teller: Fool Us records its series 16th-20th May. You can get tickets here.

In other other news this Sunday is a Deepstack Doubler for the BotherSOP, if you’ve never played before but fancy a game feel free to join in, the details are here. HOWEVER you may have some trouble if you’re from the US as there appears to be a major story brewing regarding getting round the illegal online gambling thing. You probably will not have a problem in the UK but the details are there for you to make an informed decision.

To be honest, nobody is saying what is correct. When it said Sue Perkins would be the hare I had the impression Miranda Hart would be doing the narrating/commentary, a bit like Jonathan Pearce on Hole in the Wall. Now, Digiguide is saying Sue Perkins is doing the narrating. Do does that means she is doing the commentary as well as being the hare?

Well, what with having access to the greatest research tool ever invented (teh internets), I thought I would get in touch with Sue Perkins to clear this up, but trying to express my question clearly in a 140 character tweet went awry. Damn this brevity-induced ambiguity! Trying again…

Well @TVPB has suggested this is correct, and he work’s for the BBC Entertainment department, so I’d be happy to take that over any other evidence.

Just saw an ad for this, if that’s real the hare has come on in leaps and bounds since the pilot. Does sound like Hart’s narrating.

Nothing I have heard would rule out Miranda being involved in some way, just heard that Sue Perkins is now the HARE. As mentioned on twitter I have no idea why.

A colleague who has seen the HARE said he was “Surprised at how much it looked like a hare.” Read into that what you will.

Aw. I really like Miranda. Least Sue is good, too.

I’m not a massive fan of Miranda Hart or anything, but I think she’d be a perfect fit to provide the voice of a dozy hare in quite an appealing manner. I’ve got nothing against Sue Perkins but in my head it doesn’t sound right. We’ll see.

Hi guys. Just a heads up – Endemol UK are looking for a gay male couple who bicker from time to time? Could that be YOU? Do you keep having arguments with your partner over silly things? Does your boyfriend have annoying habits, does he drive you insane? If you’d like to appear on a TV show (can’t say which one yet), then email us at couples@endemoluk.com . You could end up on primetime TV on a major television network. Thanks 🙂

Right – is it a gay edition of ‘The Marrage Ref’, by any chance?

I’d like to enter, however there are two things stopping me
      1 – I’m not gay..
      2 – I wouldn’t appear on an Endemol show..

…Couldn’t that description apply to about any (gay) couple in the world? You show me a couple that doesn’t bicker, I’ll show you the hidden camera videos of them bickering.

…Indeed. That does sound like ‘are you in a relationship to someone of the same gender’ with a few more words to me, too.
