Sunday Supplement

By | January 6, 2013

It’s sort of the Board of Excitement but different.

  • We are just waiting for a translation of this week’s Wie is De Mol? series opener. Please direct discussion to the page, linked to up the top.
  • Face the Clock with Rory Bremner starts on Channel 4 tomorrow at 3:30pm. A show discussion post will go up in due course.
  • Only Connect fans rejoice, there’s a series five vs series 6 champions episode tomorrow (BBC4, 8:30pm) followed by an Eggheads vs People Who Are Good At Only Connect Called David Special the following week. Still nobody has gone for the ratings behemoth that would be the Eggheads vs the Chasers. Edit: One of the questions is mine. That’s right, look impressed. Although I’m not credited.
  • The Bother Series of Poker starts two weeks today. The trophies have been ordered, full details in due course. You can sign up to the Bother’s Bar Poker Club for free right now.
  • We’ve had loads of ballots for the Poll of 2012. Thanks to everyone who has voted. We want more! Lines close on Friday night.
  • Catchphrase films this week. We’re hoping to go on a return trip so look out for a review.
  • Finally it’s Schlag den Raab next Saturday and yes! We’ll be doing another LIVE commentary! Probably.

It just finished airing in Italy.

Can you confirm which charity they were playing for as I understand the children taking part represented a school that got damaged by an earthquake in 2012?

Couple of other things who are going to watch it.

-The main game is played as normal but for points rather than euros.
-The 21 Questions Wrong endgame runs for six minutes (360 seconds). Rather than the usual 150 seconds plus 100 seconds money clock.

Yes! Fun episode. I awwwwed at the kid who was too short to get the lid off the carousel, and the costumes were excellent, and it was quite funny when it sounded like Judge Salvati let the kid change his answer and Paolo started arguing! I expect they were always going to win though.

I’ve been away for a while, so Happy New Year and all that…

Anyway, a bit of a lesson in serial gameshow appearances in France – Nagui’s Air Productions has refused to pay out a woman’s winnings from her appearance on Tout Le Monde Veut Prendre Sa Place because the episode she was on ended up going out at exactly the same time as an edition of TF1’s Les 12 Coups du Midi she’d also taken part in.

Small word about the acts on SdR this Saturday.

Xavas, Max Raabe (no relation to Stefan Raab) and Ellie Goulding!
