£30 for the chance to wear the Helmet of Justice and be directed about by whichever comedians are between “sets” at the time? Bargain, get on it – and do so swiftly as 19 of the 25 dungeoneer slots have gone already. In practice you’ll probably want to go and see the show as well as be a dungeoneer so the real damage is £30 + £10 + travel to and from Edinburgh + one night’s board and lodging (and I can’t imagine the latter will be cheap during Festival season) but that’s still not bad. Outwith my fun budget, but definitely not bad at all. If the show does tour and tours at all near here then I’m on it like a rash involving car bonnets. Perhaps we’ll see once and for all whether Knightmare is a show that is sufficiently fun to watch, as well as to take part in, to happen off-TV.

I dearly hope it’s practical for Knightmare Live! to advertise on Challenge during Knightmare itself – I imagine the TV ad production would probably be expensive but the TV ad rates on a channel like Challenge at times like the ones required might be remarkably reasonable…

BONG! Time out, they’ve all gone, presumably a couple of hours ago while I was having a nap before the night shift.
