OC was third in the latest ratings on BARB. In your face, Wallander, Mad Men and ‘Heavy Metal Britannia at the BBC!

I’m having one or two problems with the answer verification after solving the wall; without giving *too* much away, it failed when I said “A of B in “C”” and apparently wanted “A of ‘C’ B”.

It doesn’t work like that. As long as you’ve typed in A, B and C correctly, it will work.

In fact, you only need 1 or 2 keywords to get it to identify the connection. So if the connection is that they’re all sauces you eat with sausages, then the keyword lists will be something like:

      List 1: Sauce, Condiment
      List 2: Sausage, Banger, Wurst

As long as you say any word from list 1 and any word from list 2, even if they aren’t spelt quite correctly, then it will be marked correct.

If that doesn’t help, let me know which wall number it is, and give me one of the elements in the relevant group.

            I did say 1 or 2 keywords. Some don’t have a List2.

To use Matt C’s terminology, where he put “A of B in C”, you can just put “C” and it will work.

Actually, come to that, very few seem to need more than one word answers. I even suspect that some of those I give multi-word answers for did have one-word answers that I just couldn’t think of at the time. The one with Wall in it, for example… I had (two word noun phrase acting as adjective), (noun) – and now I think about it, (noun) might well have worked on its own.

I’ve just done some more experimenting. Part of the issue seems to be the quotemarks.

            X Y Z “C” doesn’t work, nor does X Y Z ‘C’, while X Y Z ‘C’ does.

Indeed, using the *actual* answer – as quoted on the ‘reveal’ page – which does use quotemarks; that doesn’t work either.

            Er, the last X Y Z ‘C’ should have been X Y Z C

Some good walls, there. Got a perfect 10 on Wall 16 and 7 on Wall 19.

I believe the way they sell repeats in America is that they’re “New to You”. Web-only stuff should start in 2-3 weeks.
